Officer-involved shooting on Roswell Road
According to Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose, an officer responded just after 6 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian robbery outside the convenience store. As the officer approached the suspect in a vehicle, "the man in the car pulled a weapon," Rose said. "The officer backed up and fired one shot, missing the suspect. The suspect exited the car and ran south on Roswell Road for a short distance before he was tackled by officers." John Spink, jspink@ajc.com
