Sam Nunn - Former U.S. senator from Georgia served from 1972 to 1996. He began his political career as a Democratic member of the Georgia General Assembly in 1968. In 2001, he and Ted Turner created the foundation, Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), to reduce the threat to the world of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. Recently endorsed Obama. File
