Heavy rain in North Georgia
Lake Lanier has risen nearly two feet thanks to the recent rain. The Big Creek Greenway parking lot off Haynes Bridges road in Alpharetta was closed Wednesday morning because the creek had swelled up to and surrounded the parking area. PHIL SKINNER / pskinner@ajc.com
