Swat standoff: School locked down
Parents and children walking to school from the apartments had to pass several police officers on the scene. The DeKalb County police SWAT team was sent to an apartment complex on Buford Highway on Wednesday morning, where a person was reportedly barricaded inside a unit. SWAT officers were using nearby Woodward Elementary School as a staging area, and the school was locked down. John Spink, jspink@ajc.com
