Atlanta area cleans up after storms
Volunteers clean up at the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 after damage from the strong storms the previous day. Damage was extensive -- the massive bleachers on the first turn were thrown into a steel heap and the 80-foot light tower snapped in two. The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee on Monday shook up metro Atlanta, sending tornadoes through Cherokee and Cobb counties and Powder Springs. John Spink, jspink@ajc.com
