Team honors slain trooper
After Georgia State Patrol officer Chad LeCroy, 38, was fatally shot during a traffic stop Dec. 27, his young half-brother, Jake, wanted to honor him. On Friday, Jake's baseball team honored the trooper by wearing badge number, 744, and dedicated their season to him. Jake also hit a home run early in the game. Hyosub Shin, hshin@ajc.com
