'The Circuit Rider's Wife'

Kennesaw State University recently took over the 56-acre homestead of Georgia author Corra Harris (1869-1935), bringing new attention to the first female WWI correspondent and author of some 20 books, including the semi-authobiographical, "The Circuit Rider's Wife," which was turned into the movie "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain" starring another Georgia native, Susan Hayward. Outside the original one-room cabin is a welcome sign announcing Harris' celebrity as an author. rich addicks / raddicks@ajc.com
