Cobb NAACP celebrates Rosenwald School
Jenetle Bethel, 89, leaves old Roberts school after the NAACP meeting with Mashunda Brown, 6, on her arm. Bethel was born and raised in Acworth, and attended the school as a child. The school closed in 1968. Cobb County NAACP celebrated the 100th anniversary of the national organization with a meeting in Acworth at the old Roberts School Community Center on School Street and a homecoming celebration at Acworth Community Center.
