Clayton County builds an oasis

In the 1980s the county began digging ponds to store wastewater. Officials purchased a 4,000-acre forest and 300 miles of pipeline. They installed 20,000 sprinklers throughout the forest. The sprinklers sprayed wastewater through the forest, soaking the soil and into two manmade reservoirs -- Shamrock and Blalock. Here, a great egret takes flight from the Blalock Resevoir .
