Falcons make a home in Atlanta
Spencer, a rare male peregrine falcon named after film star Spencer Tracy, soars over the top of the SunTrust Plaza skyscraper in Atlanta on May 13, 2010. Peregrine falcons are the fastest flying birds of prey, with diving speeds of more than 200 mph. Adults have wing spans of up to 4 feet and may be recognized by dark, sharply pointed wings and a long, narrow tail. Curtis Compton, ccompton@ajc.com
