Falcons make a home in Atlanta
Laura Miller, a staffer at McKenna Long & Aldridge, holds one of three peregrine falcon nestlings as Department of Natural Resources biologist Jim Ozier prepares to put bands on its legs at on May 13, 2010. Ozier and others temporarily removed the trio from an balcony planter where they hatched about four weeks earlier. Two were males, and the largest was a female. Size is the only way to determine the sex of the birds. Females are larger than males. Curtis Compton, ccompton@ajc.com
