In the late 1960s and early '70s, Canada geese had all but abandoned the Southeast. But in this recent photo, they fly over Atlanta. The state's Canada goose population is thought to be between 180,000 and 200,000 -- and they are often a nuisance. Rich Addicks / raddicks@ajc.com
