Designs unveiled for civil rights museum
This rendering of the planned Center for Civil and Human Rights was chosen as the winner. Freelon Group of Durham, N.C. / HOK of Atlanta. A pair of interlocking terra cotta-clad buildings as a metaphor for the linked arms of civil rights marchers. The MLK collection is installed at the highest point, facing the downtown skyline.
