Beating the heat
Daniel Smith, who plays soccer for Georgia Southern, get a drink of water while practicing Monday with the Atlanta Silverbacks Under-23 team at the team's facility near I-85 and I-285. Temperatures on the field were over 100 degrees. Steve Muccillo, the Under-23 coach, described the artificial turf with one word -- "lava".
