Peregrine falcons
One of the peregrine falcon parents keeps a close eye on the activity. Peregrine falcons can exceed 200 mph when diving after songbirds, pigeons and other winged prey. In about two weeks, the babies will take their first, tentative flights into the skies. Joey Ivansco/AJC
