Peregrine falcons

Jim Ozier (left) and Ken VanHoy of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, place the young peregrine falcons back in their nests. The trio, Ozier said, are all males, healthy and loud. They are beginning to molt, shedding their white fluff to reveal the mottled feathers beneath that identifies them as unsurpassed aerialists. Joey Ivansco/AJC
