His biggest splurge is body art. "At 41, I got my first tattoo: a bouquet of gardenias with a luna moth and a scorpion. Later, an Indigo bunting perched on my back, followed by a large Jesus a few months after, for my dad who passed away. The art of tattooing has become fashionable and has gained social acceptance, but choose wisely and meaningfully (as I did). You wear them for life." Joey Ivansco / AJC
