A field day with field peas (and butter beans too)
Pink eyes (top), lady peas (middle) and crowders (right) are but a few of the vast array of field peas that grow in the South. Often they go by other names, depending on where they're grown. But they're generally interchangeable in recipes. LOUIE FAVORITE / AJC
