Civil War flag goes to auction, but historians skeptical of its past

Paul Dye of Waynesboro believes this Civil War battle flag is stained with the blood of an ancestor who was shot down in Virginia. The flag is being auctioned off, but historians have raised questions about the lore behind the flag. (Note: The flag may seem to be reversed. It is not. Unlike the Stars and Stripes, the stars on this flag were placed on the right.) Courtesy of Richard D. Hatch and Associates
