Food outbreaks of 2011
Cantaloupes from a farm in Colorado have been linked to a listeria outbreak with wide reach, killing as many as 16 people across 18 states. The melon has been tied to 19 outbreaks since 1984, though this is the first case of the fruit transmitting listeria. AP
