Horse therapy for kids
Julian Guerra, 5, waits his turn to ride a horse during McKeever's First Ride, a horse assisted adaptive sports clinic for those with prosthetic limbs and orthopedic braces. The event, held at Chastain Horse Park, featured therapeutic riding, horse grooming, cowboy style roping, and horseshoe decorating. McKeever's First Ride, founded by Deenie McKeever, was named in honor of her late father, Dan McKeever, a pioneer in the prosthetic field. Brant Sanderlin bsanderlin@ajc.com
