Injured workers left in insurance limbo
Shirley Whitey gives her son, Kenneth Whitey, water out of measuring cup with a straw. "He gets four of these a day, " she said. "He hates water." Shirley now takes care of her son with the help of her husband, Kenneth's father, Herbert Whitey. They have nurses who come to assist for a couple of hours in the mornings and evenings during the week but in the hours that they do not have medical professionals, it is up to the Whiteys to care for their son.
