2012 Detroit Auto Show
For the first time since 1952, the Mercedes-Benz SL 550 coupe will be built almost entirely out of aluminum. The SL, which stands for "super light," features a new twin-turbo direct-injection 4.7-liter V-8 engine and is almost 2 inches longer and 2.4 inches wider for more shoulder and elbow room.
