Australian actor Heath Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man looks, died on Jan. 22. A few months before his death, Ledger had finished filming his widely-praised penultimate performance as the Joker in "The Dark Knight."
