Odetta Holmes was a singer, actress, songwriter and human rights activist, often referred to as "The Voice of the Civil Rights Movement." Odetta's monumental voice rang out in August 1963 when she sang "I'm on My Way" at the historic March on Washington, where Martin Luther King gave his "I Have a Dream" speech. She influenced scores of performers. She died Dec. 2 at 77. File
