Paul Newman was an Academy Award -- winning and seven-time Academy Award -- nominated American actor, film director, entrepreneur, humanitarian and auto racing enthusiast. He was a co-founder of Newman's Own, a food company from which Newman donated to charity all post-tax profits and royalties, which have exceeded $250 million. His movies included "Slapshot," "The Color of Money," "The Sting," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and numerous others. He died on Sept. 26. Associated Press
