Year-in-Review: July deaths
Elliott Galloway founded The Galloway School in 1969 with a philosophy of education not found in traditional schools: A place where students are drawn rather than pushed into learning; where learning is lifelong and not just memorizing facts. At age 52, he began running. He eventually completed 34 Peachtree Road Races and the Boston and New York marathons. Galloway passed away on July 5 after attempting his 35th Peachtree Road Race.
