Larry Harmon wasn't known by many in the 1950s ... until he put some makeup on. Then he transformed himself into Bozo the Clown and delighted children for more than a half-century. Although not the original Bozo, Harmon portrayed the popular clown in countless appearances, and as an entrepreneur, he licensed the character to others, particularly dozens of television stations around the country.
